One of the most diversified players in the health sector in Brazil required the support of RGIS. With operations in distribution, specialties and retail, they had to satisfy all audiences: shareholders, industries, pharmacies, hospitals and consumers. The pharmaceutical product distributor has 11 drug distribution centers.
THE CHALLENGE
The pharmaceutical product distributor wanted to have a full analysis report of a distribution center, so required RGIS to provide the following:
- Pre-inventory count planning for high levels
- Count all items within the distribution center
- Full count to be completed within two days

Support equipment used:
Airport model stairs x 10 – counting up to the second level
Lifting platforms x 20 – counting up to the seventh level
Fork lift trucks x 3 – counting up to the eighth level
Fork lift trucks x 2 – counting lower mixed pallets from overhead
Scheduled teams of RGIS auditors: three shifts of 133 experienced RGIS auditors and one shift of 70 experienced RGIS auditors
Results
The pharmaceutical product distributor found by outsourcing the pharmaceutical distribution center count project to RGIS, the following results were achieved:
A total of 7,872,778 items were counted
Full count of the distribution center was completed within the time frame given by the customer
Conclusion
The customer now has a full understanding of all the stock it has held within the distribution center.
