Why RGIS?
The car manufacturer’s distributor was aiming to become number one in car sales and services in Panama. So required an inventory company that could provide a high quality, accurate audit service that would run faster and more efficiently than in-house.
Our Solutions
The car manufacturer’s distributor partnered with RGIS to complete the auto parts stock count project, and provided the following:
RGIS scheduled a team of 50 experienced auditors for the duration of two days
All validation files were received the day before the event
Scanned all barcodes on blue labels with manufacturer’s logo as requested by the customer
Any items with no barcode had a barcode printed and attached to the relevant part
Any variances were verified by an RGIS auditor and the customer
Results
The car manufacturer’s distributor found by outsourcing the auto parts stock count project to RGIS, the following results were achieved:
Efficiently counted a total of 150,000 items within the distribution center
Accuracy of over 98% for the total inventory count
Provided the verified results electronically immediately to the customer after the count was completed
Reduced the time of the audit from five days when completed down to two days by RGIS
The customer was very happy with the performance and is now working with RGIS in multiple environments
