THE CHALLENGE
The manufacturer of railway track maintenance equipment needed to complete an inventory by an external company so that they did not have to shut down their business.

- A new inventory process which included verifications of variances
- The process to take less time than the previous internal inventory of five days
- To provide two inventories per year; a partial inventory count in June and full inventory count in December
- Two large warehouses and a five-acre yard needed to be counted
