A distribution center with two off-site 3PL facilities needed a full warehouse inventory. They had encountered accuracy problems and needed the issues resolved with as little downtime as possible.
After completing a site assessment, RGIS created an efficient inventory program.
Over the course of three days, several shifts per day made up of between 40 to 75 auditors inventoried the contents of the warehouses. Nearby RGIS district offices were contacted for additional personnel for this surge.
RGIS teams used wireless scanners to count all items quickly. The needed data was electronically returned at the close of the event.
The distribution center was able to resume normal business operations with an accurate inventory. The process did not disrupt regular business in any of the three locations due to scheduling.
